The slate

One Saturday of college football. The Committee picks the games, usually every Power Four matchup, and every one of them is on the board.

Each game is seeded like an NCAA tournament matchup, straight from the Vegas moneyline: a heavy favorite is a 1 seed facing a 16, and a coin flip is an 8 vs. a 9. Seeds lock when picks open, so what you see is what you get paid.

Your stake

Each player starts with 1,000 STDs (so-called Saturday Dollars), and you must wager all of them.

You may wager on any number of games. You do not have to bet on all of them.

No single pick can be more than 25% of your budget (250 STDs). All bets are due before the first game kicks off: Saturday, November 7 at 12:00 PM ET.

Scoring: the PickSixtyFour secret sauce

(amount wagered) × (seed of the team you picked)

Example: 100 STDs on the 13-seed Directional State Fighting Accountants returns 100 × 13 = 1,300 STDs… but only if they pull it off. A winning 1 seed pays 1.5×.

If a game is postponed or cancelled, your wager on it comes back to you, no more and no less. The player with the most STDs when the last game goes final wins.

Special bets

You must make both special bets.

DoubleThe Daily Double

Designate one pick as your Daily Double. If that team wins, you receive twice the normal payout.

VegasThe Vegas pick

Select one team to "beat the point spread." For PickSixtyFour purposes, the spread equals the seed of the team you picked.

  • You put 200 STDs on a 14 seed.
  • If they win, or lose by less than 14 points, you win!
  • If they lose by 14 points or more… you lose.

Hedge bets

No hedge bets allowed. You may not bet on both teams in the same game.

Private leagues

Create a league and invite friends, coworkers or tailgate acquaintances. Leagues are ranked by the average finish of all their members. Lowest score wins.
